Which CS Soaker Hose Is Right for Your Project?
The right choice depends primarily on the water source, available operating pressure, area and planned installation. The following applications provide initial guidance.
Rain Barrels and Elevated Water Tanks
CS Soaker Hose Pressureless
For irrigation with low water pressure. Operation without a connection to a pressurized water supply is possible if there is a sufficient height difference between the water level and the hose.
- Straight installation: up to 25 m hose length
Smaller Garden Beds and Raised Beds
CS Soaker Hose Startup
An entry-level solution for smaller garden areas. Suitable for smaller beds, raised beds and planting areas where water delivery close to the soil is desired.
- For private gardens
- Observe the operating pressure and permitted irrigation run length according to the product specifications
Garden Beds, Hedges and Versatile Garden Areas
CS Soaker Hose Premium
For various areas in private gardens, such as flower borders, planting rows or hedges. Water is released through the porous hose wall along the installed length.
- For different hose layouts in the garden
- Plan water supply, pressure and length to suit the application
Large Areas and Professional Projects
CS Soaker Hose Profi
For larger irrigation areas, green spaces and professional applications. When designing the system, available water flow and potential pressure losses must be considered alongside operating pressure.
- For larger and more demanding irrigation areas
- Coordinate irrigation run length, water distribution and supply lines
Note: The suitability and technical limitations of each variant depend on the respective product specifications and local conditions. The feasibility of a longer hose run cannot be assessed based on the available mains water pressure alone.
Compatible Accessories
Coordinate Pressure, Water Flow and Filtration
In addition to the Soaker Hose, the water source, supply line and accessories used influence how the system operates. These components serve different purposes.
CS Pressure Reducers
A suitable pressure reducer helps limit the water pressure from a pressurized supply to the operating pressure specified for the respective hose variant.
View Pressure ReducersCS Flow Restrictor
Depending on the system configuration, a flow restrictor can limit the water supply. It serves a different purpose than a pressure reducer and does not replace the necessary pressure regulation.
View Flow RestrictorCS Water Filters
A suitable upstream water filter traps dirt particles and reduces the risk of pores becoming clogged by contaminants. We recommend filtration regardless of the water source.

Find the Right Irrigation System in Three Steps
This information helps narrow down the selection of Soaker Hoses and accessories.
-
Check the Water Source
Is water available from an elevated rain barrel, a pump or a pressurized water supply?
-
Plan the Area and Hose Layout
How large is the area, what hose lengths are required and are there elevation differences or multiple irrigation runs?
-
Coordinate Pressure, Water Supply and Filtration
Suitable pressure conditions, sufficient water flow and an appropriate water filter are important requirements for operation.
How It Works
Water Delivery Through the Porous Hose Wall
A Soaker Hose releases water along its hose wall. When installed close to the soil surface or underground, water can reach the area where plant roots grow.
How moisture actually spreads depends on factors such as soil conditions, water pressure, hose length and irrigation duration. Underground installation can reduce evaporation losses compared with above-ground sprinkler irrigation; however, no general water savings percentage can be derived from this.
