Which CS soaker hose is suitable for a rain barrel?
The CS Soaker Hose Pressureless can operate with low inlet pressure from a sufficiently elevated rain barrel. The height difference between the water level and the hose is crucial; without a pressure gradient, no water will flow.
How long can the CS Soaker Hose Pressureless be?
For straight installations, hose lengths of up to 25 meters are possible. For circular installations, a total soaker hose length of up to 50 meters can be used. The hose is connected at one end; the other end is sealed with an end plug. This is not a loop supplied with water from both ends.
Can the soaker hose be installed underground?
Yes, depending on the hose variant, application area and soil conditions. All connections and water delivery should be checked before covering the hose.
Is a water filter necessary?
We recommend installing a suitable water filter upstream of the soaker hose, regardless of whether tap water or water from a storage tank is used. Suspended particles can clog the pores.
How much water can be saved with a soaker hose?
It is not possible to specify a universally applicable percentage of water savings. Underground installation can reduce evaporation losses. Actual water requirements depend on factors such as plants, soil, weather, irrigation control and the irrigation system used for comparison.
