The CS Soaker Hose Premium releases water through its porous hose wall into the surrounding soil. It is suitable for garden beds, hedges, flower borders and other planting areas. With straight installation, irrigation runs of up to 75 meters are permitted.

Deliver Water Along Planting Rows

Water passes through the pores in the hose wall into the soil. When installed close to the soil surface, the plants are irrigated in their root zone without extensive overhead sprinkling. How moisture spreads depends on factors such as soil type, water pressure, hose length and installation layout.

Plan Your Premium Irrigation System in Four Steps

Water source, filtration, operating pressure and planned installation layout are crucial when choosing the right system.

Check the Water Source

Determine the available water pressure and flow rate. Particularly with long or multiple irrigation runs, the water supply must be adequately sized.
Filter the Water and Adjust the Pressure

Include a suitable water filter and ensure the operating pressure is appropriate for the hose. Use a suitable pressure reducer if the supply pressure is too high.
Plan the Hose Layout

Observe the maximum irrigation run lengths for straight and curved installations. Avoid significant elevation differences and sharp kinks.
Check Water Delivery

Seal the open end of the hose, check the connections and adjust the irrigation duration based on soil moisture and plant water requirements.

These lengths refer to a single irrigation run. Different recommendations apply depending on the installation layout.

Straight Installation

Longer Planting Rows and Hedges

Up to 75 m

For straight irrigation runs, a hose length of up to 75 meters per run is permitted. Whether the full length can be operated effectively depends on the available water supply and pressure losses.

Curved Installation

Winding and Circular Layouts

Up to 15 m

According to the installation guidelines, winding or circular layouts without separate supply lines should be limited to a maximum of 15 meters per run. For larger areas, distributing the water supply across multiple runs is advisable.

The open end of each hose is sealed with an end plug.

A 100-Meter Supplied Length Does Not Mean 100 Meters per Run

Supplied lengths of up to 100 meters can be divided into several irrigation runs according to the installation layout. When multiple runs operate simultaneously, pressure and available flow rate must be sufficient for the entire system.

Important information about pressure, installation and operation.

Can I Shorten or Extend the CS Soaker Hose Premium?

Yes. It can be cut to the required length and joined using suitable connectors. Make sure the permitted length per irrigation run is not exceeded and the open end is sealed.

Can I Use 100 Meters of Premium Hose as a Single Run?

No. The maximum straight installation length is 75 meters per run. A longer supplied roll must be divided into several suitable runs. For winding or circular layouts without separate supply lines, the limit is 15 meters per run.

What Water Pressure Does the Premium Soaker Hose Require?

The optimal operating pressure is 0,69 bar. The maximum operating pressure of 1,5 bar is an upper limit, not the recommended setting. Sufficient water flow must also be available.

Do I Need a Water Filter and a Pressure Reducer?

A suitable water filter is recommended to reduce dirt particles in the incoming water. If the supply pressure is too high, an appropriate pressure reducer is required to maintain the intended operating range.

Can I Install the Premium Soaker Hose Underground?

Yes, this is also recommended. The appropriate depth depends on factors such as soil conditions, plants and how the area is used. You can find installation advice in our installation guide.

How Long Should I Run the Premium Soaker Hose?

There is no universally applicable irrigation duration. Check the soil moisture in the root zone and adjust irrigation according to the plants, soil conditions and weather.
